Cheryl Dixon-Hills, Board Member

Cheryl Dixon-Hills is a graduate of Nottingham High School who went on to earn her Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education from Syracuse University and her Masters Degree in Guidance & Counseling from Oswego College. She married her high school sweetheart and they have three children who followed the tradition of graduating from Nottingham High School. Cheryl went on to create a career in the Syracuse City School District as a guidance counselor recently retiring after having served 25 years.

She is also the former Program Director of the Choices Workshop Series (Creating Heightened Opportunity in Community, Environment and Self) and on the Board of the Image Initiative, Inc. Currently she enjoys taking care of her granddaughter, Symone and researching her family history such as the discovery of a relative’s discharge and pension papers from the Revolutionary War and an article written stating that he sampled the tea that was dumped into the Boston Harbor during the Boston Tea Party.
