LaRhonda Ealey, Board Member
A native of Natchez, Ms. LaRhonda Ealey is a PhD candidate of Economics at Syracuse University, and she works as Associate Director of Jubilee Homes of Syracuse Inc. a housing and community development organization. At Jubilee Homes, she is responsible for the development and implementation of activities and programs that further the mission of the organization, assists with the supervision of agency fiscal operations, and is responsible for the organization’s grant preparation and fund raising activities.
As an adjunct professor, LaRhonda has taught undergraduate and graduate students five distinct courses in Economics at Syracuse University and Cazenovia College. LaRhonda finds teaching extremely rewarding because it challenges her to convey the material in a way that is interesting and relative to students who are not necessarily Economics majors. Furthermore, throughout her teaching experiences, she has continued to receive excellent course evaluations from students and mentoring professors.
LaRhonda also has extensive experience working with youth. She serves as a mentor to young African American and Latino women in Syracuse through her roles as the Director of Youth Ministries at The Promise Land Church and member of the Board of Directors for The Image Initiative, Inc. a Syracuse non-profit organization dedicated to the empowerment of young women of color.
